Terms of Service

ELK provides travel guides, local-life information, restaurants and place recommendations, community questions and answers, saved posts, notices, member-only content, and partner inquiry tools for visitors interested in Korea. Features may change as the Service develops.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are below the legal age of majority where you live, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

• You must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably current.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting access to your email and social sign-in accounts.
• You may not impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts, sell accounts, or use another person's account without permission.
• Google, Apple, X, Facebook, or other social sign-in options are also subject to the provider's terms and availability.
• Notify us promptly at playtech1009@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Some content may be public, available to registered members, or reserved for users with an active paid membership. Access levels may be identified as Members only, VIP only, or a similar label.

If paid memberships or purchases are offered, the price, billing period, renewal, cancellation, refund terms, and included benefits displayed at purchase will form part of these Terms. Access to paid features may end when the applicable membership period expires. Unless expressly stated, buying access does not transfer ownership of ELK content.

You agree to be respectful, lawful, and honest. You may not:

• Post unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, or deliberately dangerous content.
• Share another person's private or sensitive information without authorization.
• Post spam, scams, undisclosed commercial promotion, fake reviews, manipulated engagement, or misleading claims.
• Infringe copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other rights.
• Use bots, scrapers, automated accounts, or technical measures to overload, bypass, probe, or disrupt the Service without written permission.
• Circumvent membership restrictions, security controls, moderation, access rules, or account suspensions.
• Use the Service to facilitate unlawful bookings, transactions, or activities.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and that it complies with these Terms.

To operate the Service, you grant ELK a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, translate, display, distribute, and moderate your content through the Service. This license is limited to operating, improving, presenting, and promoting the Service and ends when the content is deleted, except where copies reasonably remain in backups, shared discussions, legal records, or previously distributed promotional material.

Public community content may be viewed, quoted, or shared by others. Do not post information you want to keep confidential.

We may review, restrict, label, unpublish, edit for formatting or safety, or remove content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, creates risk, or reduces the usefulness of the community. We may suspend or terminate accounts and preserve information when necessary to investigate reports, protect users, or comply with law. We are not obligated to monitor every submission.

ELK content is provided for general informational and editorial purposes. Conditions, prices, schedules, laws, entry requirements, accessibility, opening hours, safety advice, and local practices can change. Community posts reflect individual opinions and experiences.

You are responsible for confirming important information with official authorities and service providers and for making your own travel, health, safety, financial, and legal decisions. ELK does not provide professional legal, medical, immigration, financial, or emergency advice.

The Service may contain embedded maps or videos, advertiser or partner content, affiliate links, and links to booking platforms, restaurants, accommodations, event organizers, or other third parties. ELK does not control those services and is not a party to transactions between you and a third party unless expressly stated.

Third-party terms, privacy policies, prices, cancellation rules, and dispute procedures apply. We may receive compensation from clearly identified advertisements, sponsorships, or affiliate links. Such compensation does not guarantee the quality, availability, or suitability of a third-party offering.

The Service, excluding user content, including its original articles, curation, design, branding, software, graphics, databases, and compilation, is owned by or licensed to ELK and protected by applicable law. These Terms provide a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service for lawful, non-commercial purposes. No other rights are granted.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features; impose reasonable limits; or perform maintenance at any time. We will try to give appropriate notice of material changes when practical, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service.

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, harm users or the Service, or if continued operation is no longer practical.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available." ELK disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ELK and its operators, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, bookings, or travel expenses arising from the Service or third-party services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid ELK for the relevant Service during the preceding 12 months or USD 100, unless applicable law requires a different remedy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a formal claim, you and ELK agree to try in good faith to resolve the issue by contacting the other party. Mandatory consumer protections and rights to bring a claim in your place of residence remain unaffected where applicable.

We may update these Terms when the Service, business model, or law changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may provide an additional notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the Service. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement regarding the Service unless additional terms are presented for a specific feature.
